adventure: felt shortbread
ingredients: yellow felt, thread, stuffing
inspiration: when you eat someone else’s shortbread it’s only fair to return the favour, so i did! They are made from my own pattern, but inspired by all the delectable food creations on craftster.
adventure: apple strudel
ingredients: flour, salt, egg, water, lemon juice, raisins, vodka, cooked apple, sugar, cinnamon and butter.
inspiration: the recipe is from ‘The Prawn Cocktail Years’ by Simon Hopkinson and Lindsey Bareham. I used cooked apples instead of raw which made the pastry a little soggy and difficult to manouver, but i got it into the baking tin using two fish slices and patience. Raisins were soaked in vodka instead of brandy, which didn’t seem to make any difference. It was delicious, and it was even more delicious when it was cold and tasted like apple danish!
